I got this for my dad who grew up on Sunsoft games, and we spent an entire evening flipping through it together. Seeing the full 1971 to 1989 timeline laid out with so many color photos made me realize how much history I never knew about.
The 224 full-color pages are dense with detail, and flipping through the Sunsoft era from 1971 to 1989 feels like stepping back in time. It's a hefty softcover for the price, and I’ve already spent an evening just poring over the early arcade layouts.
The 224 full-color pages are a feast—I lost an entire evening flipping through the early 70s Sun designs and the pre-Famicom arcade stuff. The depth of research here makes it feel like a proper museum piece, not just a coffee-table book.
