The arcade cabinet's relentless screen-filling bullet patterns translate perfectly to home play, and I love that I can finally grind through the stages without dropping quarter after quarter. The lack of a save feature is a bit rough, but the pure, unaltered challenge is exactly why I bought this.
The difficulty curve is brutal but fair, just like the arcade original, and the endless waves of alien ships never get old. I've lost hours to this thing already and the fast-paced bullet action feels perfectly translated for home play.
The scanline filter really helps it feel like the real cab, and the endless waves hit that perfect difficulty curve. I’ve already sunk a full afternoon into it and I’m not even close to clearing the later stages.
